"White Ships" author Duncan O'Brien has written an illustrated children's book about the adventures of a young mouse named Matson as he travels aboard the Lurline to Hawai'i. The story contains 32 pages of beautiful illustrations by artist Robyn Drage.

The book was released in Hawai`i in October, and is now available at a few stores in the Islands, and online at matsonthemouse.com
Bookstores in California and other western states will be receiving copies in early December. Retail price is $20 - the perfect gift for Matson Line enthusiasts of all ages (especially ages 4-8!)

About the Book

The White Ships, by Canadian author Duncan O'Brien, is the first comprehensive history of the six classic white liners operated by Matson Navigation Company between California, Hawaii, the South Pacific, New Zealand and Australia from 1927 until 1978.

The deluxe coffee-table book was published by Pier 10 Media in 2008. Only 1,000 copies were printed.
